Project Description

Mundarlo Bridge Replacement comprises the design and construction of a new two-lane bridge over the Murrumbidgee River, demolition of the existing bridge, and reconstruction of the approach roads.

The project will improve safety, traffic flow and flood resilience, while accommodating heavy vehicles including farm machinery and B-double trucks. DEC Projects supported the design and construct tender through methodology, staging, temporary works planning and bridge and civil works delivery inputs.

Scope of Works

  • Design and construct tender support, including coordination with the designer and key project stakeholders to align the proposed solution with tender requirements and project objectives.
  • Bridge and civil works methodology development across bulk earthworks, pavements, drainage, precast concrete, demolition, bridge deck waterproofing, steel bridge railing, asphalting, landscaping and associated civil infrastructure.
  • Structural and in-river works planning covering FRP bridge elements including abutments, wing walls, piers, headstocks, girders, bridge deck, approach slabs and kerbs.
  • Piling methodology and planning for land-based and in-river works, including scour protection and construction over water.
  • Temporary works and staging development including temporary access, piling pads, crane pads, precast propping and FRP temporary works over the river.
  • Geotechnical works, traffic management and staged delivery planning to maintain river access throughout construction.
