Project Description
The Yan Yean Road Stage 2 Upgrade was a major arterial road upgrade in Melbourne’s north-east, delivered between Kurrak Road, Yarrambat and Bridge Inn Road, Doreen. The project comprised corridor duplication, major intersection upgrades and associated active transport and roadside infrastructure, forming part of a broader road network improvement for the area.
DEC Projects’ engagement focused on preparing the direct cost estimate across the civil and roadworks scope, with a strong emphasis on first-principles pricing, constructability and staging-led estimate development. Services included detailed cost planning and pricing for civil works, pavements, structures, drainage, retaining walls and landscaping, aligned with project specifications and evolving design packages.
