At DEC Projects we’re a specialist civil engineering advisory firm delivering expert estimating, project delivery, advisory and marketing services across Australia. Based in our Port Melbourne head office, we help clients WIN major infrastructure work through precision, innovation and collaboration.
We’re growing our team and have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Estimator with 3-4 years’ first principles estimating experience to join our pre-contracts division.

What you’ll do every day:
• Prepare accurate, detailed first principles estimates and quantity take-offs for civil and infrastructure projects
• Review tender drawings, specifications and documentation
• Support bid strategies, risk identification and commercial reviews
• Collaborate closely with senior estimators, delivery teams and clients

Who we’re looking for:
• 3-4 years’ hands-on experience in construction estimating (civil/infrastructure strongly preferred)
• Strong proficiency in first principles estimating and quantity surveying
• Experience with estimating software (Expert Estimation, CATS, CANDY or similar is a plus)
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills
