Project Description
The Doncaster Sewer Relocation Works involved the relocation of critical sewer infrastructure to support the Eastern Freeway Upgrades and future busway works, while maintaining the long-term integrity, operability and sustainability of the sewer network.
DEC Projects provided senior project management and project engineering support during delivery, integrating engineering, construction management, cost control, forecasting, contractor coordination and stakeholder engagement across a complex utilities infrastructure package.
Scope of Works
- Provided Senior Project Manager and Project Engineering support during project delivery.
- Integrated engineering and project management functions across the project team and wider business units.
- Managed project planning, construction programming, resources and key delivery milestones.
- Oversaw cost control, forecasting, contractor performance, progress claims and variations.
- Identified cost-saving opportunities through optimised programming and delivery methodologies, including sewer tie-in works.
- Coordinated multidisciplinary work fronts across multiple work packages to align scope, programme and delivery requirements.
- Monitored construction quality and compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Managed stakeholder engagement, reporting, contract administration, RFIs and budget tracking.
- Prepared requests for tender, tender evaluations and recommendations.
- Managed temporary works packages, including design briefs, methodologies, coordination and stakeholder approvals.
- Supported delivery of complex sewer works, including shaft excavations, AVN microtunnelling, guided boring, auger boring, maintenance holes, headwalls, thrust blocks, sewer modifications, decommissioning and major bypass pumping operations.
